Call for Proposals: 2019 NACBH Emerging Best Practices Conference
Family First Prevention Services Act: Opportunities to Improve Care

Are you a forward-thinking behavioral health leader viewing implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act as an opportunity to expand your community-based programs and services? If so, we want to hear from you!

While there certainly remain more questions than answers about the day-to-day impact FFPSA will have on the behavioral health community, visionary leaders throughout the country are choosing to focus on proactive strategies instead of waiting to react. Through the 2019 Emerging Best Practices Conference, NACBH will provide a platform to explore these ideas already in development and help providers build on them to meet the growing need for community-based programs.

NACBH seeks proposals for the Emerging Best Practices Conference Breakout sessions, specifically focused on New Opportunities and Growing Community-Based Services that reflect at least one of the priorities below:

  • Sessions which would highlight steps taken to research, introduce, or explore a new community-based behavioral health program for your organization (the program does not have to be fully implemented or have demonstrated outcomes to qualify).
  • Innovative approaches to new program implementation which could help providers scale up their community-based programs and services under FFPSA.
  • Examples of how providers are updating funding mechanisms, fundraising, and outreach in preparing for new delivery models.
  • Interactive discussion of organizational change management in preparation for new services and funding under FFPSA.
