Trauma-Informed Guiding Principles for Working with Transition Age Youth

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) has produced a new provider fact sheet with guiding principles for supporting transition-age youth who have experienced trauma.  Focused on young people between the ages of 16 and 25 with various public systems involvement, the brief describes the unique experiences, challenges, and needs of these emerging adults.  Strategies and concrete actions are suggested for mental health, child welfare, and juvenile justice providers to enhance the capacity of youth to succeed.
