American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Medicaid Unwinding Resources

Given that more than half of all children in the US are covered by Medicaid and CHIP, it is of great importance to ensure that children do not inappropriately lose their health insurance. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has put together variety of resources to help providers, patients, and families navigate the Medicaid Unwinding. These resources include practice guidelines, template letters, advocacy tools, and webinars.

The AAP is actively involved in supporting the Medicaid Unwinding process, offering assistance, and advocating for children's healthcare coverage during this transition period. They provide information on how to communicate with patients and families, advocacy guides, state-specific updates, and links to external resources like the Georgetown Center for Children and Families' 50-State Unwinding Tracker and Medicaid.gov's Unwinding Homepage. Find all of their resources here.
